Good Morning

Hello amd Welcome  to my world.

My name is Kelly. I am happily married to a wonderful man. Weve been married 20 years, and have 2 amazing boys.  They are growing up very fast. I am employed part time outside the home. I enjoy building dollhouses and many other crafts.  I will be sharing with all of you, my family, home and hobbies. I am currently decluttering  & decrapping our home. I will share with you howmi am decorating our home, decluttering our home, and making our home a fun peaceful place. We have 2 furkids (dogs), and 1 feathered kid (bird). I will be sharing our garden and garden junk.! Lol, I enjoy working in our yard and making it fun.

Ive been following Flylady for a few years now, my home is not perfect and probably never will be. I havent stuck withall of flyladys routines, but I've made it all work. I always do a load of laundry every day! That helps alot, but there is always a
Mt. Washmore in my laundry room.  Which means I really need to get decluttering our clothes.  I hope you enjoy my blog.

50 + inches of snow !!!

We have had one very crazy winter. 50 + inches of snow, way below zero temps. and now rain.! Almost all the snow is melted in my yard now... but its raining now... and 35 degrees right now. We have flood and wind warnings. They are calling for damaging winds and severe storms for later this afternoon.!

Some of you may know I am a Flybaby. I heard about Flylady several years ago from a friend... I joined... fell off the wagon more times that I care to tell... lately I have been doing alot better... I do the missions every day ! I have a control journal but don't really follow it... I need to start... I do check and write everything on my calendar, and my house is looking much better. I have ALOT of stuff to sell, I have been de-cluttering and really looking at our house. It isn't dirty... its just a little cluttered.. we've lived here 10 years... and we have 10 years of stuff.! The kids are older now so they don't need their toys anymore... Some things are very hard for me to part with..

This week is the Master Bedroom
Mission for today is to clean off your dresser.

Yesterdays mission was to clean off your nightstand, since I only had one thing on mine, and hubby just had some loose change, it took me less than a minute to wipe both nightstands down, put hubby's change in his jar... and re straighten my books. I moved on to our long dresser.... it was easy as well, although I did drop a few receipts on it so I had to look at those and  put them in the trash! Today I will wipe down the dresser.. and dust everything on it... as well as clean the mirror.

another winter storm....

Well we got about 6 inches of snow last night, with about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice on top of that. Hubby left for work a hour early.... the roads are horrible. We are at a level 2 and there is no school today.!  Snow is really heavy with the sheet of ice on top.

Oklahoma Nights....

I just finished the 2nd  book in the series, Oklahoma Nights Romance, by Cat Johnson. I loved both books, and cannot wait till the 3rd is released in March 2014.

I love to read, and have a lot of favorite actors, and books.  I'll blog more about the books I am reading and books I have read. I love reading series books, but hate it when I find a good series and the last book is not released yet, I usually put those on my To Read list until the last book is out. 

A few of my fav authors are; Megan Hart, Cat Johnson, Linda Leal Miller, Debbie Macomber, Lora Leigh,Sylvia Day, Olivia Cunning,Nicholas Sparks..... And many more. 

Dust Bunnies BEWARE !!!

The boys were out of school today due to the temperatures. The school called around 1 this afternoon to inform us they cancelled school for tomorrow as well. So today we worked in my youngest sons room, got it all cleaned up, moved his tall dresser downstairs, put all his play clothes in his long dresser, hung all his school clothes. His room looks great !! I am very proud of him.

My oldest son cleaned up his room too, it looks great as well, I am very proud of him also.  Then we tackled all the ceiling fans in the house, and cleaned under the fridge... I pulled the fridge out and swept and scrubbed under the fridge. We got about 5 loads of laundry done today...washed, dried, folded and put away !!!!! Now we just have to match socks tomorrow. LOL.  

The weather was frigid all day, it's currently -5, with a -25 windchill....  

Baby, it's cold outside...

BRRRR !!!!!  Very cold morning. 16 degrees, with a wind chill of - 25 to -30.

Unfortunately, my Dear Hubby works outside year round and will be out in this most of the day.

Kids are out of school today because of the temperatures, they actually called school out last night. We only got a dusting of snow last night, so we missed the big snow. 

Monday's are always a busy day for me, and today is no exception. Monday's I start my Home Blessing; dust, vacuum, mop, clean mirrors & windows, purge papers, newspapers etc., check all trash cans. I don't always finish every item of my home blessing in one day, I sometimes have to finish on tuesday or Wednesday. Since there is no school today I am sure I can get a few minutes help. My sink was shining this morning, no dirty dishes in the sink. I'm going to reboot my laundry at 7 am, so the dryer balls don't wake my guys. Then I will work on the mission for the day, which is to take a broom or duster and get those dusties and cobwebs from the ceilings. If you haven't figured it out yet... I'm a FLYBABY, and I'm proud to say I can do anything for 15 minutes and my home can be company ready in about 15 minutes.

I am hoping to organize my youngest sons school clothes today as well.... Hopefully, empty his tall dresser and get it out of his room, so he will have a little more room. 

When all the chores are done I will be bringing The Shenandoah  log cabin upstairs to repair the porch roof.

The Calm before the Storm....

We are still waiting for the snow to start falling.... So far all we have had is a little rain this morning.!
Meterologist says we are supposed to be getting between 1 - 6 inches of snow by 5 am tomorrow morning. It is currently 40 degrees, but supposed to drop the rest of the evening and all day tomorrow... Snow is supposed to start around 9 tonight and continue until around 5 am. The temps will drop to -6 by tomorrow evening, with a windchill of -29.  My Boys are hoping for Snow Days !!!
